The Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics(ASUP) has suspended its 10months old strike.
The suspension of the prolonged strike was confirmed by ASUP National Publicity Secretary, Clement Chirman.
The strike which started in October 2013 was suspended this morning after a meeting National Executive Council(NEC) and ASUP in abuja.
Chirman said all striking lecturers have been directed to resume work on Tuesday.
Recall that upon the swearing in of Former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau on wednesday as the Minister of Education, the Minister of Education made his first official assignment on Thursday, a fruitful meeting with top ASUP officials.
Its a good news for the Polytechnic students.
