#iPGN: Rivers State Judiciary Staff Union Embark On Indefinite Strike Today(10-06-2014)

The Rivers State Judiciary Staffs embark on an indefinite staff today; Tuesday,10th of June,2014 over alleged security challenge.

The strike was announced by the Rivers State Judiciary Staff Union on Monday, 9th of June,2014.
When contacted by the media; the Rives State Judiciary Staff Union State Chairman Mr. George Isokariari confirmed it.

Mr. George Isokariari said the strike was as a result of the security challenge the staffs are facing; the Ahoada High Court was raised down by an alleged explosive on Monday 9th of June, 2014. He also said their staffs and members were arrested,detained unjustly and that they are subjects of attacks.

On Monday 9th of June, 2014 the Ahoada High Court was bomb by alleged hoodlums, building and case files were bombed down. it would be recalled that the same Ahoada High Court was bombed earlier in January.

The Judiciary Staff Chairman denies the rumors stating that they are going on strike due to the fact that the Rivers State Governor seized their May salaries. He said they have not received any official letter to the seizing of their salaries.

Mr. George Isokariari said they have consulted their relevant Union Heads over the withdrawal of their services before embarking on the strike.
